This policy explains what personal data KiraLocum collects, why, and what you can do about it. It's written to reflect what the app actually does, not a generic template — if something here doesn't match what you see in the app, tell us at the email above.
01What KiraLocum is
KiraLocum is a personal earnings ledger and LHDN estimate companion for Malaysian locum doctors and dentists. It is not a job marketplace, does not file anything with LHDN on your behalf, and does not give tax advice.
02Information we collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your email address and password (handled by our backend provider, Supabase, which stores only a salted hash of your password — we never see it in plain text).
Profile information
Title, full name, display name, and professional registration number (e.g. MMC/MDC number), if you choose to enter them.
Your records
Clinics, rate cards, shifts/sessions, payment accounts, expenses, and monthly goals that you create in the app.
Tax profile information
If you use the tax estimator: your residency status, whether you have salaried employment income, your estimated annual salary, PCB (monthly tax deduction) already paid, zakat/fitrah paid, and the tax reliefs you claim. This is used only to compute an on-device estimate of what to set aside for LHDN. It is not transmitted to LHDN or any tax authority, and the app never files anything on your behalf.
Payment vouchers and receipts
Photos you capture or choose for a shift or expense are saved to a "KiraLocum" album in your own device's photo library — the image itself never leaves your device or reaches our servers. We store only a reference to the photo and a checksum (SHA-256), so the app can tell you if the underlying image has gone missing or changed since it was filed.
Calendar data
If you enable calendar sync, the app reads events from all calendars on your device within a rolling window, looking for titles matching keywords you configure (e.g. "locum"), and imports matches as draft sessions for you to confirm — nothing is saved automatically. The app writes only to its own dedicated "KiraLocum" calendar on your device; it never edits or deletes events in your other calendars.
Notifications
If you enable the weekly goal reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. This does not use a push notification server and is not visible to us.
03How we use your information
We use the information above solely to operate the app for you: syncing your records across your own devices, computing totals and the tax estimate, and reminding you about your goals. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
04Who we share data with
Supabase (our backend/database provider), hosted in the ap-southeast-1 (Singapore) region, acting as our data processor. Supabase stores your account records under row-level security so only your own account can read or write them.
Apple and Google, only as the operating system's own calendar and notification APIs — we do not send your calendar or reminder data to Apple/Google beyond what those APIs inherently require to function.
Apple's App Store / Google Play, for purchase and subscription processing if you buy KiraLocum Pro. We receive only entitlement status (whether you have an active subscription), not your payment details.
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in the app as of this policy's date.
05Data retention
Your records stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Malaysian tax law (LHDN) generally expects business records to be kept for seven years — this is informational guidance shown in the app, not something we enforce on your data.
06Your rights
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (as amended) and generally, you may:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data (most of this you can edit directly in the app).
Request deletion of your account and data — available directly in Settings ("Delete account"), which permanently removes your account and all associated records from our servers. This cannot be undone. Voucher photos remain in your own device's photo library, since they were never uploaded to us.
Withdraw consent to calendar access or notifications at any time, via the app's own settings or your device's system settings.
Data in transit to our backend is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Your account data in Supabase is protected by row-level security scoped to your own user ID. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved.
08International data transfer
Your account data is stored on servers in Singapore (ap-southeast-1). By using the app, you consent to this transfer, which is within the same region as Malaysia and subject to Supabase's own data protection commitments.
09Children's privacy
KiraLocum is a professional tool intended for licensed medical and dental practitioners and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Please read these Terms carefully before using KiraLocum. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
01What KiraLocum is — and isn't
KiraLocum is a personal earnings ledger and LHDN estimate companion for Malaysian locum doctors and dentists. KiraLocum is not:
A job marketplace. We do not list, broker, or arrange locum work.
A tax filing service. The app does not file anything with LHDN.
A source of tax advice. Every figure the app shows is an estimate, clearly labelled as such, and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed tax agent.
02Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a licensed medical or dental practitioner (or otherwise legitimately managing locum-style income) to use the app. By using the app, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate.
03Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at kiralocum@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
04Subscriptions & billing
Core features — shift logging, rate cards, calendar sync, vouchers, goals, expenses, the tax estimator, and the owed/aging dashboard — are free while KiraLocum is in early access. Any future paid tier, and exactly what it includes, will be described here before it's introduced, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store at the price shown at time of purchase.
Subscriptions, if introduced, renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — we cannot cancel or refund purchases directly, as these are handled by the App Store/Play Store per their own refund policies.
Prices may change; you will be notified in advance of any change affecting an active subscription, as required by the relevant app store.
05Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law, including Malaysian tax and data protection law.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law.
Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or networks.
Use the app to store or transmit data you do not have the right to hold (e.g. another person's confidential medical records).
06Tax estimate disclaimer
The tax estimator produces an estimate based on figures you enter and publicly available LHDN rate tables and relief caps for the relevant year of assessment. It:
Is not tax advice and does not constitute a filing of any kind.
May not account for every circumstance specific to you.
Will refuse to compute a figure for a year of assessment it has no published rate data for, rather than guess.
You are solely responsible for verifying any figure before relying on it, and for your own tax filings with LHDN. We strongly recommend reviewing your tax position with a licensed tax agent, particularly before your first filing using data from the app.
07Your data
Your use of the app is also governed by our , which explains what we collect and how it's used. In summary: your records sync to our backend (Supabase, hosted in Singapore) so they're available across your own devices; voucher and receipt photos stay on your device and are never uploaded to us.
08Intellectual property
The app, including its design, branding, and underlying software, is owned by Harith Naim. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of the data you enter into the app (your shifts, clinics, expenses, and so on).
09Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services to function, including Apple's and Google's calendar, photo library, camera, and notification APIs, Supabase for backend storage, and the App Store/Play Store for purchases. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of these third-party services.
10Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your account and associated data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms.
11Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any calculation will be accurate for your specific circumstances.
12Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Harith Naim shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any tax liability, penalty, or loss arising from reliance on an estimate produced by the app. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

02Common questions
Is my data backed up?
Yes — every shift, clinic, expense, and calendar entry syncs to our backend as you go, so reinstalling the app or signing in on a new device restores your records. Voucher and receipt photos are the one exception: they stay in your device's own photo library and are never uploaded to us.
How is the tax estimate calculated?
From the residency, income, and relief figures you enter, against LHDN's published rate tables and relief caps for the year of assessment you select. It's an estimate to help you set money aside — not a filing, and not a substitute for a licensed tax agent. See the for the full disclaimer.
Can I export my records for my accountant?
Yes, from the Tax tab — PDF and CSV export cover the year's income, expenses, and reliefs in one pack.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and every record tied to it from our servers, and cannot be undone.
